ELKHART — A South Bend man was arrested for several felony charges after being stopped by an Indiana State Trooper for a moving violation on the Indiana Toll Road. At 3:19 a.m. on Jan. 9, Trooper Luis Alvarez stopped an eastbound silver 2000 Chevrolet for a moving violation on the Indiana Toll Road near mile marker 91. This is about one mile west of the Elkhart exit. While speaking to the driver and the two passengers of the Chevrolet, Alvarez noticed a handgun with an extended magazine on the floorboard.
