A 67-year-old South Bend man is dead following a head-on collision at about 11 p.m. on Friday on the U.S. 20 bypass near Indiana 19 in Elkhart County.Robert Spann, 67, was driving west on the bypass when he was struck head-on by Koral Jordan, 27, of Elkhart, who was driving east in the westbound lanes, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office.Jordan was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment. Spann was pronounced dead at the scene.The crash caused a lengthy backup on the roadway.
